Abi Catt's Story

I got into project management as the company I work for, Exertis, sell VoIP and network security products within the IT industry and my department is responsible for the deployment and training of these products to our customers.

We wanted to expand our portfolio to provide a project management service using internationally recognised project management schemes - which was PRINCE2 - to control and stage projects going forward.

I have used Firebrand in the past for CompTIA Sec+ (2013) and although the days are long and intensive, I had the support and training I needed to get through and certify. This is why Firebrand was chosen once again for PRINCE2 training.

PRINCE2 has helped our company to put potential and even existing customers at ease, and also allowed me as a project manager to communicate effectively and efficiently to the appropriate people and complete projects successfully. Going forward, I plan to continue using the PRINCE2 methodology in all our project documentation and improve and maintain our reputation of successful project management within the IT industry.
